Leading Tier-1 European Operator Deploys Mobixell Mobile Multimedia Content Security and Anti-Virus Solution

Rich Media Service Center ensures secure delivery of mobile multimedia free of malicious and inappropriate content

Boston, MA -- Mobixell Networks, a leading provider of mobile multimedia value added services (VAS) solutions, announced today that a Tier 1 European operator has deployed its new Mobile Multimedia Content Security and Anti-Virus solution. Content Security is the most recent addition to Mobixell's Rich Media Service CenterTM (RMSC) product family.

"With Content Security and Anti-Virus, our customers can prevent the dissemination of dangerous and undesirable content for the entire range of multimedia services," said Amir Aharoni, CEO of Mobixell networks. "Our long standing expertise in multimedia enables us to address the unique security requirements of this industry. We are pleased that our customers turn to Mobixell in order to ensure a safe, reliable user experience," Aharoni concluded.

As recent outbreaks have shown, the looming threat of mobile viruses is now a reality. Malicious code has the potential to create fraudulent subscriber charges and make handsets unusable - resulting in heavy support costs as well as a negative customer experience and churn. Mobile Network Operators need to proactively defend their networks and users through effective security solutions.

Mobixell's Content Security solution scans, filters, and replaces infected objects. It then notifies the user and the operator, and successfully delivers the cleaned content. This carrier-grade solution supports all common mobile multimedia services and devices, to maximize subscriber and network protection while minimizing intrusiveness and service interruption. The solution's content-filtering engine includes anti-virus, anti-spam, content-rights policing, parental control, URL filtering and anti-abuse functions. Real-time scanning and a manned 24/7 virus analysis center ensure maximal response to new threats.

Mobile Multimedia Content Security and Anti-Virus is an extension to Mobixell's Rich Media Service Center (RMSC), which provides seamless, secure delivery of multimedia content to subscribers. RMSC provides centrally managed multimedia adaptation, transcoding, and optimization for the full range of devices and applications. With the addition of Content Security, Mobixell continues its commitment to deliver high quality, safe, reliable multimedia services to millions of mobile subscribers world-wide.
