Mobixell intends to merge Adamind's products and technologies to form a powerful market leader in the Mobile Multimedia domain.
The acquisition of Adamind's assets includes intellectual property and all its software products. The acquisition also encompasses contracts with customers and suppliers relating to the development, marketing, and sale of all Adamind's products including transcoding and Mobile Multimedia software (the "MediaSpire" product family). In addition, the deal includes Adamind's tangible assets. Mobixell will engage the majority of Adamind's employees and contractors world-wide and intends to merge Adamind's products and technologies to form a powerful market leader in the Mobile Multimedia domain.
"This merging of Adamind's assets into Mobixell marks a tremendous growth phase for our company," says Amir Aharoni, Chief Executive Officer of Mobixell. "Mobixell is now poised to capture a large market share by leveraging the combined product portfolio and vast multimedia over mobile knowledge base. We intend to continue delivering innovative solutions to existing and new customers and offer them a wider best-of-breed set of mobile multimedia solutions that ensure the highest quality end-user experience of multimedia over any device and any network and maximize operator revenue streams."
Mobixell also announces the appointment of Yaron Dishon to the position of Vice President and General Manager of Mobixell Americas. Yaron, who previously served as VP Sales and Channel Development at Adamind, has an impressive track record of developing mutually beneficial relationships with blue-chip global telecommunication service companies, infrastructure vendors, as well as top-tier operators.
"I look forward to leading Mobixell's Americas operation and bringing a wider set of innovative multimedia solutions to our customers," says Yaron. "There is a great deal of dynamism in the mobile market today, particularly in North America, which is galvanized by the rapidly increasing consumer acceptance and adoption of value-added mobile multimedia services. According to IDC, the US market for mobile content will more than triple by 2010. All of this bodes well for Mobixell."
The mobile content and services market will continue to grow dramatically as services and applications reach maturity and new services begin to gain traction, according to Informa Telecoms & Media. They anticipate that the global mobile content and services market will top $150 billion by 2011.
