Openwave Integra Delivers Increased Value for Operators with New Service Enabler

Value Added Features from Mobixell Pre-Integrated into Openwave's Next Generation Management Solution


LAS VEGAS--Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV - News), one of the world's leading software innovators enabling revenue-generating personalized services which converge the mobile and broadband experience, today announced the availability of a new value-added solution pre-integrated into Openwave Integra, a next generation management solution designed to rapidly enable open, secure multimedia and multi-protocol service deployment on converged networks.

Openwave's service management portfolio gives operators the ability to expand the capabilities of their existing mobile gateway infrastructure with the option of driving new value-added services and monetization opportunities. Openwave is collaborating with several best of breed leaders in the mobile space including Mobixell Networks, a leading provider of innovative mobile multimedia and advertising solutions. Mobixell's applications will be offered pre-integrated with Openwave Integra or as stand-alone add-ons for optimized live, rich media adaptation.

New Service Enabler

Mobixell Networks is providing its video streaming and advertisement insertion solution as an optional add-on to Openwave Integra 2.5, which allows operators and content providers to introduce multimedia based services to subscribers and maximize their revenue streams by delivering optimized, rich media content while ensuring the best quality of experience. Mobixell's Mobile WebcastTM enables mobile operators and content providers to provide live video and audio stream services over a vast variety and diversity of mobile devices, domains and networks, driving traffic growth and creating the ultimate experience for consuming rich media on a mobile phone.
