Mobixell Networks Announces Launch of Seamless Access Video Edition

Next generation video management and optimization solution is the first joint offering from Mobixell Networks and 724 Solutions

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona – February 15,  2010 – Mobixell Networks, a leading provider of Rich Media Mobile Internet, which offers Mobile Broadband, Mobile Messaging and Advertising solutions announced today the launch of its next generation video management solution, ‘Seamless Access Video Edition’, its first joint offering with 724 Solutions.  The Seamless Access Video Edition combines the core technologies of Mobixell’s rich media delivery capabilities with 724’s mobile broadband infrastructure platform to deliver a unique, highly scalable, reliable mobile internet/broadband solution designed to optimise and manage video delivery from any source to any mobile device, including broadband connected laptops and netbooks, in any traffic format.

Combining the best in breed components from each company, Mobixell’s Seamless Access Video Edition delivers a comprehensive offering for mobile operators to meet the growing demand for mobile video traffic. Mobixell possesses unrivalled expertise in adapting and manipulating video content for any device to ensure an optimal user experience, whilst 724 Solutions’ Seamless Access product provides a scalable, reliable and extensible mobile internet / mobile broadband infrastructure.

This combined solution addresses the challenges for mobile operators in dealing efficiently and cost effectively with video traffic, allowing video formats to be converted and adapted based on the capabilities of the receiving device and managing and optimising all types of video traffic (including Adobe® RTMP, Apple® http live stream, Microsoft Silverlight™, progressive download and HTML 5) to minimise radio and backhaul network costs for operators.  The architecture, its capabilities and ease of integration with existing network elements, enable Seamless Access Video Edition to be rapidly deployed within the network to deliver a fast return on investment.

Avichai Levy, VP Marketing of Mobixell comments: “With demand for mobile video continuing to grow at an astonishing rate, the management of this explosion in traffic, as well as making all video content accessible to any device, creates  new challenges for mobile operators. The twin demands of maintaining quality of experience and managing network bandwidth require a new breed of technology solution to enable operators to profitably manage current and future demand for video services.”

He continues The ‘Seamless Access Video Edition’ brings the best of both Mobixell and 724’s technologies to the market. This first fully integrated offering, unlike any other point solutions designed with a narrow view of traffic optimization, takes a more holistic view of the overall challenge of intelligently managing the demands of mobile video within the network and on the operators’ financial performance.  ”

Mobixell will showcase its video management Solution, ‘Seamless Access Video Edition’, at the Mobile World Congress 2010, in Barcelona, February 15 to 18, at Mobixell’s Booth # 1A23 in Hall 1.
In addition, further to Mobixell’s recent acquisition of 724 Solutions, the combined company will be unveiling the joint vision and showcasing its extended Rich Media Mobile Internet offering. Mobixell Networks also invites customers, partners and members of the media to the company’s cocktail reception that will take place at the company’s booth on Tuesday, February 16, at 16:30.
